just starting back riding after 27 years .  some one gave me a non running r65.  always like them got running and having hard time registering. bought another 79 like the other and got it home changed oil right after getting home and the oil filter is full of metal. so i may have more questions later if ya don't mind! pictures to follow got to run

Filter full of metal is not a good sign, probably means it'll be a parts bike.  But, a parts bike is good to have.

Metal in the filter... could be a big problem, but like Justin said a donor bike is always handy.

ya the free bike is running perfectly though and im having a great time on it. and yes i think the other bike i payed money for is going to be my parts bike. thanks for the replies
