Oilhead Hand Grip Rubber
« on: April 06, 2016, 10:02:35 PM »
I've been looking for replacement handgrip rubber for my oilhead .
Completely worn through on both grips, exposed heating elements as well .
BWM doesn't sell the rubber separate from the heated grips .
About $150 each to replace them  .
I posted on the R1150R.net forum and got some information, that Wunderlich has replacement rubber only for $38 for a set .
Can't get a link to work now !!!!! >:(

Just a thought Bob, but would grip used for a tennis racket work?  Possibly the grip used on bicycle handlebars?  Not a perfect fix but might see you through for a while.

Bengt, I installed the new grip rubber last week .
That is an option to use a rubber grip from a tennis racket, never thought of it !!!!!
