Many choices of ride destinations on this beutiful first day of 2016. Decided to take a trip back to the 1970s and some of my more adventurous times. Too many
camp fire stories to relate here.
The '81 R65 is parked on the perimeter road of the once extremely prosperous Cauble Ranch in Denton County, Texas. Two graves are just a couple yards off the road, in amongst a terribly overgrown and littered area. One grave contains the remains of Cutter Bill, a world champion cutting horse campaigned by Rex Cauble. The other gravesite is for Rex's pet -a monster Rhodesian Ridgeback. That dog either loved you or hated you. I was fortunate to be among the former.
Once, there were nice markers at each grave. They were there the last time I stopped but are now gone. Most likely stolen by persons infatuated by the Texas Cowboy Mafia legends.

To all, may you and your families be healthy, safe and prosperous in this New Year.
