Battery Holder
« on: May 31, 2014, 07:31:37 AM »
I recently bought one of the starter covers from Boxercafe that eliminates the airbox.

I have hesitated putting it on because I couldn't decide what to do about the battery. I don't like the way it looks just sitting there in the battery box. I refuse to pay what they are asking for a LiPo or LiFePO4 battery just to get a small size. I thought about relocating it under the tail or gearbox but both have their drawbacks.

I finally decided to hide the battery in it's existing location. A small piece of dead cow, a spare battery box and a few hours of hand sticking and this is what I came up with. Comments or suggestions welcome.

A natural solution for The Rubber Cow! [smiley=beer.gif]

Hand stitched, you say? Krikey! How many unwanted holes in your fingers?

Just one extra hole but it's a doozie. Into the tip of my left pointer finger and out through the nail. Luckily the leather is black and has a water repellent finish so the blood cleaned off nicely.   :)

Los ojos de Dios!

I feel your pain as last weekend I made a futile attempt to cut off the tip of my left-hand's little finger. Trimming a shrub. Got careless. I left the blood on the blades. Rusting nicely, they are.

I SuperGlued the gash -and THAT stings- then treated the wound with several doses of alcohol applied internally. Back after it again this week. Slow learner.
