Club magazines
« on: January 28, 2014, 01:12:12 PM »
Hi lads,
I read the following on an US based mailing list.
"The UK BMW club has copied all the old club magazines dating back to the 60s into PDFs and they are available to all club members to download."

Could somebody point me out to a link or a way to get them ? (As a French, subscribing to a UK based club is not so practical, especially to attend the gatherings ...  :D )
Thanks in advance !

Georges,

I already have most of thes PDF's downloaded. I went back as far back as the introduction of R45/65's and as up to date as they are available. Unless something changed the most recent 3 years are not yet scanned to PDF's. If it's technical information you want you'll find it hard work reading through all the usual club items to get to the information. Trust me on that, I've read them all. If there is something specific you are looking for I might be able to tell you which journal to look at.

Well,
Thank you Barry !
I like reading old magazines and club papers. Often it make me smile !
So I'll look at them and see if I can get something out of it.
(this week end, I've found a couple of electronics French newspapers aimed at the professional market. They where from the early 60's. It was fun to read and particularly the "predictable future" and what one should buy .... (or should sell because the professional readers ...) I've simple joy ;-) )
