While we are blastin' each other for a bit, may I wish all my buds here who live in the good ol' US of A. a very happy Thanksgiving!! I may say that the turkeys were pretty good for our thanksgiving..at a time when the weather was much better, so I do hope you all enjoy it as much as I did in October.

It's insanity, on my commute to work on the day after Thanksgiving, at 0510, it just amazes me the amount of people at these stores at this hour of day .

For cheap Chinese made crap that is the usual items in these retail outlets . :D :D :D :D

1) Food safety is no joke.  Tom (in the sanitized, once brine-filled bucket) wears his seatbelt while en route to my brother's

2) Cheap lubricant.  Anecdotal evidence suggests it is adequate, though no used analysis has been performed

3) Halfway there with applewood smoke.  A good sign of things to come

4) Enjoy!  The family watched me like a hawk while I was carving.  I'm not sure if it was anticipation or if they were worried I'd screw it up

Nicely done bird, Luca. Looks just like the two we had. In fact, I just polished off a leftover turkey sandwich. Love those leftovers. nom nom nom

Luca, apple wood is good. I cooked mine all night with a drip pan and a v rack stuffed on top of the plate setter-legs up.
The smoke taste went all the way through the meat. I ate plenty and will be happy to not see another turkey until Christmas.
