Yeah, we were lucky this time. The typhoon just grazed Manila, saying the wind was strong would be an understatement, but it was relatively dry, and there was minimal rainfall. Nothing major got damaged here except for a few trees and electrical posts here and there.

The southern part of the country which bore the brunt of the storm was wiped off the map. Massive rainfall, unprecidented strong winds followed by a storm surge in an archipelago is a disastrous combination. I guess even with all that preparation, you really can't prepare enough for one of the strongest typhoons in the history of mankind.
