Phorqs in Romania
« on: September 14, 2013, 01:39:52 PM »
Proving that Mike Bengt Phorqs Crenshaw's former Big Texas Oil outfit has more money than good sense, here's Mike in Romania doing a two-month contractor stint and helping the Eastern Europeans suck up their "black gold".

The lad doesn't spend all his time on the rigs...

The local BMW motorcycle dealer -who also offered Phorqs a test drive in a new Bentley (!)- let him fondle their Beemer merchandise.

Rough duty but Mike says his hotel has a fine cocktail lounge and lovely barmaids. Cheeky bastid ::)

Monte, for the record it was a Rolls Royce, not a Bentley, although I have seen a Bentley in town.  The Husky I'm standing behind is a beautiful bike but has been discontinued.  Kind of a hybrid Motard style it has 900cc and about 103 bhp if I recall correctly.  The sales guy I spoke with said they sold the heck out of the K1600's and new Waterhead GS bikes but there are very few airheads in country.  Most of those are old police bikes and fairly worn out.  I haven't seen any airheads around town at all.

Romania is emerging from decades of Soviet influence and economically is beginning to prosper.  Great people and I've enjoyed my time here but I'm looking forward to getting reacquainted with Mrs. Phorqs and my stable of bikes in Texas.

Its so educational on this forum..... I did not know that there was any oil in Rumania as it has not been invaded by anyone recently,  I  also did not know there were any Rumanians left there as I thought they were all here in the UK claiming benefits.

There was quite a negative add campaign in England pertaining to Romania.  A Romanian newspaper countered with these ads.  To wit:

Immigration is becoming a real issue here and politicians are waking up to the fact that the general population has had enough of the "euro" expansion experiment, it was recently revealed that the UK tax payers are paying child support to over 50,000 Polish children who have never been in the country ? ( no mention of the other EU member states on the same gravy train !! )how we signed up for that is beyond belief, then there are the touchy subjects of housing and education...we were promised a referendum on Europe but the politicians dare not do it as they know if they do we will be out and the terrible "Human rights legislation"  will be where it belongs ...... in the bin as it is only of use to terrorists, criminals and the lawyers who sponge off of it.
I dare say that in the USA if you moved from one state to another, made yourself homeless you would get short shrift from the authorities, were as here they will be queuing up to rehouse you at the expense of the indigenous population. Case in point the recent one with the Lithuanian single mother god help us when the rest arrive.

Good Lord no!!  We can't allow people to go without the basics like Oreo cookies, fried chicken, or soda pop?  Much less education and health care.  Welcome to Texas, Arizona, New Mexico that have become inundated with illegals.  Can't tell you how many good people I've seen have to leave because they can't get a green card or become citizens, yet we (the federal government) wants to move the illegals to the head of the line.  Logic and government don't mix.  My rant is now over as well.  But on the other hand, the money for consulting in Romania is great and that makes me smile.

Good to know some of there EU subsidy is going to a good cause.... don't spend it all on bikes, treat Monte to coffee at the Blue hanger (on me i will square up eventually) as I understand he has been banned from most "rest homes" and we all know he likes his freebees .
