Sounds like an excellent deal.  LS's are not cheap over here either.  

Although at the moment I have my eye on a blue '83 R65 with 30km on the clock for $2K.  Two owners so far.  One of those word of mouth deals through a good friend.  I have placed a verbal deposit on it so just a matter of visiting and finalising.
