Received the Shinko 244's for the R-65 today...

A few pics
 Yummy new tires..

Well, The front tire is too hard.. It won't come off the rim..
You know what that means... Actually I wound up using a hacksaw..

I got the bastard off...

Pretty new tires !

This is what I found when I pulled the rear tire..

This is not oil, It's grease... A little too much I think... Cleaned it and the hub up... Brake shoes were fine...

She's ready to go anywhere now.. Street to pasture...

Yeah - looks like grease, all right! If a little's good, a LOT'S even better!

Right?  ;D

That angle grinder scares me - I can see big gouges in the wheel real easy!! Glad you went with the hacksaw instead.

Those tires look great! Let us know how they feel on the road.

I like my Shinkos, but I don't do the boy racer thing.

What size are those tires?  The tread looks like the IRCs that I tried for a little while.

Ed, They are 300X18 and 460X18

Took the bike to the post office and back this morning.. Getting a little bounce from the front end.. Don't know if it's the road or the tires...

Maybe I'll check the balance on that front again...
