Hi everyone, I'm new here. I've been riding for 5 years now and have owned several vintage Japanese bikes. My current ride is a 1980 Kawasaki KZ650.

I am in the market for a classic-era BMW. I was scheduled to look at a local R65 but it sold about an hour before I got to see it. In the course of my research, I discovered the forums here and look forward to learning more about these interesting bikes. Perhaps I'll even find one to buy...

Welcome aboard!

It is entirely possible you'll find/hear of an R65 - or other airhead - for sale here.  We often post up finds from CL and other sources for general interest.

And there is a pretty nice looking 1980 model R65 for sale in our trading post section - it is in Carolina though - but keep watching here, and ebay, and also www.ibmwr.org/market too.   There is also a place in Ohio called Re-psycle that sells airheads, too.

It's a fun adventure to find one in the next state over, or even half way across the country. Fly out and ride it home. I've done that quite a few times. With these beemers, they don't always show up close to home.
