That looks really nice! The seat even looks low enough and really compliments the bike!
1983 R65LS - LRB still my favourite!? 1988 Honda NX250, "Toodles Too" and a Suzuki DR650, "Calypso." All stored in the "Brrrmmm Closet".

This new screen is also very thin! made from plexiglas - almost twice as thin as the screen on my harley - it's also very brittle - My old screen (also very thin)had a small crack at one of the screw holes - These screens don't come pre-drilled so I had to drill the 9 holes - I even bought a $8.00 special bit made for plastic from Leif  - anyway I manage to generate a crack on the last hole I drilled - I drilled a small hole at the end of the crack I don't think think it will grow - I covered up the crack with a bullet hole decal so it's really a non-issue but I was very careful when drilling so this stuff is pretty brittle but It looks great - When your working with vintage stuff sometimes you just don't have many options - tom

Tom,

That is nice!

What is the fairing? I've not seen one of those before!

It was made by Don Vesco called Rabid Transit - Not sure what year but vintage and a piece of American Motorcycle history - you can check him out on Google - Don held 25 worlds land speed records - At least one of his cars is in the Barber collection

Beautiful!!!

May I ask, what does the "T" Designation stand for?

As in R100T?

Maybe it means something in German, but I've never heard an explanation. As far as I know, the T was only made in 1970 and 80. It was essentially the S model with drum rear brake (a plus in my opinion), no fairing, dual discs, and the cowl-less seat. Supposedly it had a little less power due to lower compression, but the one I have feels plenty powerful - maybe you'd only notice the difference above 100mph.

I don't really know but i assumed that it started life as a standard r100 then the guy added bags & figured it was a tourer - then the Vesco was added that made it kinda of a sport tourer then I added the gunfighter seat & mirrors  that made it a Cafe tourer r100T solo sort tourer :D :D :D but i did stay in a Holiday Inn last night & rode the bike home today  :)
