Problem entering the Forum
« on: February 12, 2012, 07:12:07 AM »
I can't enter the forum by typing the usual http://www.r65.org on my address bar.

But I did manage to enter by using a link my browser saved that was directed in one of the posts I made.

It's working for me, but it should be good for everyone after another day or two.

I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Julio, you must be the only one still using the "old" address!!  It is best for everybody to get into the habit of using bmwr65.org.  If sloth ever lets the old domain name expire his redirect will probably die shortly thereafter.  Plus, if anything happens to the redirect there is nothing we can do about it.

Nope, I use it too! Have been getting redirected for as long as I can remember.

I just punched in bmwr65.org and the site came up with NO bullets. went back to my "redirect' r65.org and there was the site complete with bullets. I'll stick with the r65.org until bmwr65.org "reloads"

What exactly do you mean "with no bullets"?  Grab a screen shot so I can see what it's doing...

The "blinky bullets" that signify that there is a new post. If I go the redirect route all is fine. If I go direct to bmwr65.org, there are NO bullets on each section, they are missing. I'm using firefox for a browser

More clues............  When I get redirected the address bar shows "www.bmwr65.org"   when I type "bmwr65.org" I get no bullets and the address bar stays "bmwr65.org"

It's likely a cookie "issue" as I think the new post related stuff is cookie related.  When you go in at different addresses you are working with a different set of cookies since as far as your browser is concerned you went to a different web site.

As far as I can see the "bullets" are just animated gifs so anything that blocks images will make them disappear. There is a setting in Tools  options to load images automatically. You might want to check if that's ticked.
