Welcome Jake, i think you need to do a few posts before you can upload pictures (admin will clarify) it keeps the spammers at bay, upload some pictures when you can but remember to re size them so they stay on the page.
Dont be shy asking for help we've all been there....

Hiya, Jake, and welcome to you and your new-ish Beemer. If it's car, it's a bimmer... or if it's like my mom's 3-series, it's a bummer. ;D

Get that puppy reloaded with fresh lubricants -engine, trans, driveshaft & final drive. If the tires are several years old, spend the money for fresh rubber rather than on possible medical bills. Confirm age and condition of the battery. Then, you can move on to a fuel tank flush, float bowl inspection, wheel bearings and brake service.

Git 'er serviced and safe during those chilly Wisconsin days. Post up questions. Gotta shop manual? There's an R65 owners handbook in the FAQs section available for download.

Have fun :)

and the tires are bran new same goes for the battery. and what is a good size for pictures on this forum? this is my motorcycly with the tank and seat and side covers off. you may not be able to see the rust on the sub frame but trust me its there. 8-)

If you just sanded the subframe then you should probably treat any rusted areas with POR-15 to neutralize any remaining rust.

I would think that 1024x768 would be OK for a picture size unless someone is viewing with an old low-res monitor

I think that the 800x600 size seems to work best with most monitor sizes for pics on this forum

I agree 800 x 600 max is plenty big enough to fit in the forum window. It should really be at least one size down from the screen resolution or you won't be able to see all of it at once. I have a big 19" monitor at work but only a 1024 X 768 screen on my laptop at home.

Being a mean Network manager that spends too much time fighting the exponential rise in data storage requirements I have some sympathy for the disk drive that is hosting this forum and try to keep the size of images down.

Don't worry, Barry, I think Suraklyn's plan has unlimited bandwidth and disk storage.
