One more day!

Marble Falls Scotty will get this right off the bat...

Wednesday, 26 October, is my last working day with the Denton (TX) Independent School District. I'll be retiring "officially" on 31 December, but will use accrued leave for a two-month paid vacation until New Year's Eve Day. After that, the retirement checks roll in  every month.

Pretty wife and I will be leaving Thursday on the Triumph Trophy for a short tour of the Arbuckle Mtns in southern Oklahoma and an overnight at the Lake Murray (OK) Lodge.

Didn't think this day would arrive, but here it is and away we go.

Great to hear of someone that can finally retire .

It isn't a tale, "tis the gospel truth, gov'na!".  And before you go running off to trouble shoot some out of state bikes, you need to take a look at the little turnip in my garage and exorcise the demons that Lord Lucas, Prince of Darkness, has invaded.  Free coffe, donuts, AND Shiner Bock!

CONGRATULATIONS, Monte... I'm right behind you! Exiting my post here on 12/15 (and taking a few remaining vacation days between now and then)... We've bought a house SW of Houston where I can watch golfers from the back porch.  Y'all come see us!

Well, Burt, we may just do that. But stick with motorcycles as a good walk spoiled is known as 'golf'.

We have some dear friends in Seabrook. Over celebratory retirement cocktails on the patio this evening, Lynn was just now squawking about the need to head down to Harris County.
