In many regions of the USA, the /5 models are pretty highly sought after.  The LWB models had most all of the kinks worked out - if I were shopping for a /5 I would be looking at the LWB 1973 model myself.   But as they say, condition is everything.   If it is mechanically good and in need of cosmetics, I'd say $2500 is a pretty fair price, especially in my area.
Things to look for include: kickstart spur gear is often weak/prone to breakage..  Use it sparingly, but do check that it is functional on the bike before buying.   Documentation of maintenance/work/repairs is often (but not always) a pretty good indicator of how well it was cared for.   Combo Speedo/tachometers on these bikes are EXPENSIVE to replace or repair so pay attention to that as well.  The wiring harness is also a weak point.

Keep in mind, as "primitive" as some people think our R65 bikes are, the /5 models are REALLY, errrr. "basic"  ;-)
