R65 Sighting
« on: August 12, 2011, 12:58:58 PM »
Wednesday after work I was riding (my bicycle) downtown to catch the bus homeward when a blue R65 passed me going the other way.  I don't know who it was; Mike Bickford has or had one that color but I don't know what he would be doing in Salem.  Today I rode mine but I won't be going that way so who knows if I'll see it again.  It was on Pringle Road.

I know there is some model of R80 that uses the same gas tank but R65s seem to be more common.

Damn!  Now I want some potato chips.  :P

And that was the R80ST and R80G/S that used the same tank as the R65, or very similar.

Rob, Pringles aren't real potato chips.  For real ones go a few miles north east of where I was, to Kettle Chips.  Mmmmm....

Oh, I know Ed, that was just a little attempt at word-association fun.

I know, the best potato chips ('Merican kind) are the ones made in kitchens of non-chain restaurants.

If I remember correctly, the wording of potato chip as it applied to Pringles actually went to court, I believe the outcome was, they are refered to as potato 'crisps' now .

Must be because they had some british attorneys on the team, er, I mean 'barristers'! ;)

I DO like the Kettle Chips, though.
