Hi John: Its just the basic stuff. new tires all fluids and a tune up other wise it should be good to go. My main problem is no place to work on it. I downsized if you know what I mean.

I know about that downsizing.. I went from a 2000 sq. ft. house to an 800 sq ft house...

Of course I picked up a 1200sq, ft. Shop...That makes the difference..

The bigges issue you will have is getting the carbs right... I just went ahead and ordered "The Book" from Bing... Should be here on Monday..The R65's carbs have some issues like missing o-rings and such.. and this is after a recend (december) rebuild by a bmw dealer..

Go see Junior at Honda of W-S. He's an old school mechanic who can work on anything if you bring him the parts.
Being a dealership, they charge shop rates, but he works very quickly to keep the bill down as much as possible. I've had him work on an R65 as well as 2 Moto Guzzis, and have always been very happy with the results.  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

If you need to fund a serious Airhead mechanic, go see George Ratterman at the Kawasaki shop in Greensboro. He's ridden and wrenched on all things European for at least 30 years, and left Carolina Euro in Greensboro with several other folks about a year ago, caught up in some sort of political upheaval. Excellent mechanic, well known in the Triad area and beyond.
