I want my R65 to be like this one!

A friend from an email list in Germany sent the following:

Today we met a fellow tribes man from Bavaria with his R65.

And because you can't get decent food behind the "Waiswuaschdequator"
he had his own food supply.


I was wondering about the improvements on the exaust pipes as the R65 was idling there.

And in the end the man from Bavaria even gave away his traditional
food to the "Saupreissen"  ;-)

I love the paint job on this bike, but even more, I love the saddlebags.  The ability to enjoy properly made Weisswurst while on the road just tops things off!

Dual wurst cookers,i'm impressed.

Monte, smokers require some form of deciduous tree native to Texas or the Southern United States.  i.e. mesquite, hickory, or pecan.  Even though the price of petrol is on the high side right now I would prefer to not convert my bike over to a wood burning stove.  (hmmm, I do have a spare R65 tank in the shed that might make some form of cooker....)  I'll get back to you on that.

As for this fellow, I do admire his sense of style and panache.  The paint scheme is wonderful, a representation of the Bavarian Coat of Arms.  Love the bags also.

I still think that I'd go for more solid, water-resistant panniers to hold my pretzels and sausage, given the wet weather we've been getting!

Nice paint job though.   Been a long time since I had weisswurst.   I was playing in a band for a big party in the little town of Heimsheim - the whole town had pretty much closed down for an all-weekend long party.   Starting your day at at 8 AM with beer and weisswurst sounds like a good idea at the time, but by midnight that night, not so much!
