How many r65,s are on UK fleabay  at the minute. You sometimes get the odd one or two but there are at least half a dozen at the moment some very nice, but how about this exotic cafe racer......not for me but each to their own.Theres also a very nice R90s for 4k if anyone is feeling flush.

Is that 4K dollars or pounds sterling for the R90/6?  If pounds then that bike must be made of gold!

If you type "BMW cafe racer" into Google and click on images, there is an R65 that turns up quite a lot.

That looks very much like it.....

Similar, but I see a host of differences -- front fender, dual brake, engine airbox, etc.

True enough.

While I've been stealing stuff, sorry, "researching" stuff on the internet, I've seen pics of the one I posted where it's evolved quite a lot. I seem to recall that it was actually an R45 to start with, but now has an R80 engine in it apparently. Had a full fairing at one point too.

They're close enough that my immediate thought on seeing the one Lou posted was "Is that...???"

So, coincidence? Influence? Same bike with bits removed for the next project?

Different pic, different fender mount.
