The “Munro Special,” the 1920 Indian Scout piloted by New Zealander Burt Munro to 183.586mph at the Bonneville Salt Flats in 1967, won top honors for prewar American racing motorcycles at the Aug. 15, 2010, Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

Holy smoke! I didn't realize it was that fast.
Do you know what engine size/specs his motor was?
I watched the movie and enjoyed it every bit of it.

If memory serves it was a 1920 something Indian Scout.  At least that's how it began life.  By the time Monro set his land speed record there was probably very little of the original metal left.  Kind of like the old farmer who had owned an axe for 50 years.  He had replaced the handle 4 times and the head twice, but that was still a damb good axe!
