I remember Monte whining and howling about having to pay tax on what the state decided the "actual retail value" was on one of his bikes when he transferred the title.  I just transferred title on the Junkyard Dawg and they charged me tax on what I told them I paid for it!  Maybe the rules have changed or it's a Tarrant vs Denton county thang...

Funny you should bring this up now as either this week or next, I've gotta get the Mexico Bike properly registered. I'll try the sales price affidavit form but hopes are slim.

I understand your point Lou, but it wasn't really the price of tea so much as the exhorbitant tax on tea.  There's a bunch of folks in office right now that have forgotten that expensive lesson and are soon to be reminded.  [smiley=furious3.gif]
