The New Google Map of R65er Locations
« on: March 28, 2010, 08:51:11 PM »
I seem to recall seeing a U.S. map of R65 riders locations a few years back. Does anyone remember where this is? I recently moved from MO to IA. I'm really hoping to make a few local rallies and was wondering if there's any others here that I might expect to show. I've actually only been to one rally before in my life and that was the Falling Leaf in Potosi, MO a few years ago.

thanks,
Chris

It's located in the General Announcements section, in the upper section, Important Topics .

The link to the site, doesn't seem to be working, don't know if it's a temporary problem on not .

Thanks Bob. It isn't working for me either. From the posts on that sticky, it sounds like the Frappr map has been a pain.

There should be a way to do it with Google Maps.
I'll look into it.

I don't know how to make one that is publicly editable.

Let me know if you want on the map.  Clutch, let me know if you want me to move your place marker.  I chose "mid-Iowa"!  ;)

I added everyone that replied to the original frapper map thread, plus msbuck! ;)

I used the information available in your profile.

Rob,
Get me on the map. Great idea, hopefully I can pass by a few of you this summer on my trip and say hi. A couple of my layovers are in Bulverde, TX (Hill Country) and Hendersonville, NC where my riding partner lives.

Just how far do you live from Copenhagen, Trolle?  Have you ever seen the Hans Christian Andersen "Little Mermaid" statue?  I saw it once on an episode of "Samantha Brown's Passport to Europe" on the Travel Channel, when she visited Copenhagen.

There is a way to allow everyone to edit the map, but I have to add permission for each email address.
Not much different than what I am doing already (i.e. manual entry).

But if anyone wants the ability to edit this map, just let me know and I can make it happen.

Keep your bike in good repair: motorcycle boots are not comfortable for walking.

Marc,

I sent you a email inviting you to be a collaborator and allowing you to move your marker.

Your description "Right on the corner where Georgia, Florida and the Atlantic Ocean meet." was pretty vague, so I thought I'd let you fix it! :)
