Here are some pics from my destination, an airhead-mac pac season opening ride event, "gassing day" ; Â I am the guy in background in black suit, gray hair in the picture where the front wheel of LS is seen.
http://picasaweb.google.com/321design/100403GasserRide# I'd like to report that my first real ride on my LS was fantastic. Â I had lots of fun, and can report that the bike is a strong runner and doesn't appear to have quirks or need any adjustments.
Handling was excellent; new Macadams, fork springs/bearings and rear shocks made for a smooth, pleasant ride. Â Seat was fine but arse did get a bit tired from saddle time.
Braking with new rotars and EBC pads with braided steel lines made for adequate stopping, but not remarkable. Â
Clutch, transmission and drivetrain were smooth and functioned really well.
Engine has great pull, torque and loves to be challenged on the road. Â It was keeping up with and passing traffic on all kinds of country, suburban and highway roads. Â
What I loved about the bike is it's ridability and fun factor. Â I ENJOYED myself all day. Â I loved looking down the road, cranking the throttle, setting up the many turns on my 200 mile jaunt. Â I felt comfortable at the bikes speeds, and like that the 650 has REASONABLE limits.
My project complete, I am TRULY satisfied and accomplished EXACTLY what I wanted when I set out to buy an airhead last spring.
Looking forward to tomorrow, another beautiful day forcasted.
