Sidecar - Hack'd Article...
« on: February 09, 2010, 10:02:29 PM »
After reading the sidecar threads, I thought some of you might like to read this article from the Summer 1997 issue of Hack'd magazine.  As I mentioned, my father-in-law, John, loved custom building motorcycles. You all got a kick out of the photo of the rather.... um... "unique" /2 r60 chopper John built when he was in his teens. :D

Well, the bike featured in this issue of Hack'd was the epitome of his building skills. It was featured on the cover of this issue, and had a few pages (that he wrote) inside. It is slightly BMW related, as apparently part of the frame of this bike was a /2, along with a few bits and pieces.

That is John on the cover, riding and "flying" the car. My fiance Trish was supposed to go to the photo shoot that day and ride in the sidecar, but she said she was a grumpy teenager and didn't want to be "embarrased" by the attention. The fellow riding in the sidecar was one of the photographer's helpers I believe.

The PDF is too large to attach (2Megs) so I've got it uploaded to my personal Graphic Design site. Just click on the link to view it. :)
