Note the picture of the engine's internal components...there is a ruler below it to give a size perspective of just how compact the engine was...only a foot long! I had always assumed the 1923 BMW R32 was the first motorcycle with a shaft drive...obviously wrong.

I've seen this picture for a very long time, and the marque FN is no stranger to my readings over the years, but that is the first time I've seen that link.  Thanks!

BTW Fabrique Nationale is as far as I know still existing as an arms manufacturer.

In my military days I was the proud bearer of a nine mm FN sidearm. I had the weapon for 25+ years but handed it in as I got afraid that it would be stolen.
