Found Aladins Cave
« on: November 03, 2009, 03:32:05 PM »
Bought some bits off eBay as the guy (Paul) only lives 10 minutes from me thought i would go pick them up found a real BM enthusiast with 2 R80/7s one finished one almost and stunning bikes they were too. He also has a R1200Rt? less than 2 years old with 47k miles on it.....that's some serious riding turns out he deals in bms and bits and had alsorts of gems tucked away.Frames wheels carbs panels exhausts electrics ect ect.
If anyone in the UK wants to try him for parts PM me ill give you his number
Lou
Ill post a picture of mine with the improvements on show me yours when i get round to fitting them

Oh sure Lou, keep all the good stuff in the Mother Country!  That sure looks like an R90S in the smoke color.   It has dual disks up front.  That's a sweet find.

They are both R80s the white one is an ex Police bike theres a compartment built into the top of the fuel tank for hand cuffs ect.
The quality of the rebuilds are unbeleivable the "smoke one" looks like it just came off the production line. The white one is almost finished the guy is a real pro the photos dont do them justice.
I was green with envy when he was telling me about his trecks through Europe on the R1200 intrestingly he does the alloy bits with a wet bead blast ?/ ill have to look into that.
