Pick up the latest issue of Rider Magazine!  The "Retrospective" section in the back (written by Clement Salvadori) features the beloved R65, with a sweet looking Champagne-colored R65 in the photo!  Clement even gives the bike its proper praise (as well he should)!  It's good reading!!   [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Thanks for letting us know, John!  I'll definitely have to look that one up.  We've more or less stopped getting most of our mags.  Tight times call for drastic measures.  :-?

Dog-gone it - I finally found a bookstore that carried Rider Magazine and I rushed in to buy the last copy on the shelf...... and it is September's Issue.   Oh well.   IF anyone happens to have a copy of this article and the patience to scan it....

FWIW, the September issue also higlights a very underappreciated bike, the Suzuki VX800 as it was marketed here in the US - Basically it was a Suzuki Intruder 800 engine in a stiffer, longer, taller frame, good standard/naked bike ergonomics and a smoother crank offset for a lean, twisty-handling machine..   Not an airhead, but they do have a small, dedicated following.
Airhead #12178 ? BMWMOA #123173 ?BMWRA #33525 ?GSBMWR #563 ?1982 BMW R65LS ?1978 BMW R100/7 1998 Kawasaki Concours
