I use the rear (passenger) pegs very often when droning along the interstate at 70+ MPH - much more comfortable for my legs. Just don't do it when riding at night or in traffic when one may have to quickly use the brake pedal or shifter, as those few seconds of moving one's feet could be bad news. But with clear road and clear skies ahead, it helps on those 100-200 mile long interstate runs.. passenger pegs also vibrate much less in the 'buzzy zone' from 4500-4900 RPM.
