Hello from Bali, Indonesia
« on: July 03, 2009, 06:25:38 AM »
Hello Everyone,

I just bought a 1981 R65 LS in Ubud, Bali and look forward to restoring it to as close to original as possible. This is my first "old" bike but like in aviation there really is no such thing as an old airplane/bike. It's either a well maintained machine or not.

I've got a bunch to learn about these great bikes so I best get with it. Seems like this site is a good place to start.

See you all around on the web. ;D

Cheers,

Peter Heinrichsohn

Oooo, Colin! Me likey your idea more gooder.

And, as the senior BMW member in Bali, you are hereby anointed the Head Boob. I guess Peter, by default, becomes Head Boob, Junior Grade and may serve in your absence.

Congrats and props to all BOOB members [smiley=beerchug.gif]Ride on!

Hmmm, this is starting to sound like a "That 70s Show" rerun.  Would this make Monte, Kelso?

Welcome Peter and I hope that you have many 'enjoyable' hours of getting the bike up to scratch.

Colin - I can't wait to see the t-shirt with the logo.  ;)

Beemer Owners Of :
Brisbane

Birmingham
Barberton
Byron Bay (spelt Byronbay)
Boston
Baghdad
Bombay
etc. etc........................

This could become an international movement!
