Wow, I guess they are getting ready already

... for the 2009 BMWMOA National rally in Tennessee next summer .   Several threads on the   MOA website have folks starting to make reservations at hotels in the area, for those that need/want to stay in hotels.     If you are looking to book hotel room(s), be sure to check if they offer a discount for the rally.  Apparently the nearest towns of size for hotel availability would be Johnson City or Kingsport, TN.  One guy found at least one place offering discounts, in case anyone is interested:

I just made my reservation at that motel.  It appears to be fairly close to the fairgrounds.  

I booked a room at the Comfort Inn you mentioned, nh.  Thurs - Sun (3 nights).

It is a 2-bed smoking room (all they had left), and while her computer told her $99, she checked a previous reservation to confirm the discount, and I got it for $79!

I might be willing to consider a roommate.

I am staying Sunday night at a different motel to hang out with my local friends down in Johnson City.
