Post your airhead in the autumn pics

Post a pic of your R65 - or other airhead - out enjoying the autumn weather !   I am hoping that maybe some of our friends here who may not be able to get out and ride this month might enjoy a change of scenery.  Here is one of Tillie by the river:

Here is a link to my photobucket album with some other pics - I'll add more as time permits.

OOO!! Great idea and Pictures!  We're headed up to Willville this weekend, so I'll see what I can come up with.  The leaves are just barely starting to change down here in the flatlands, but we're hoping for lots of color in the mountains.

Autumn?  :-?  It's about 80° Fahrenheit down here in the DC 'burbs. Leaves haven't *begun* to turn yet!  :(

Somehow, I am not surprised that there is still so much hot air around the DC area  ;)

No offense to you, certainly, just the folks in the big white buildings...

This photo isn't from this year, but from (I think) November of '05 when my wife Pattimarie still had her Suzuki 650 Savage and we rode our bikes together quite often.  We were on the Cherokee Scenic Highway that runs along the upstate border between NC and SC, and there was a pretty waterfall that we stopped at for a photo-op.  Even though the leaves had already fallen off the trees for the most part, it was still a very pleasant ride, and one of the fondest memories I have of the two of us enjoying the open road together.   :)

Lovely, Steve.

The Guzzis are Italian cousins to our German R65s, aren't they?

Its all the same here in Bali, winter, summer, spring or autumn. The only seasons are wet, or very wet. The reason I have a "pillow" for the pillion is so my wife can see over my shoulder!

Hey thanks for the pic Balibeemer !

I think that I might be able to get used to riding a motorcycle year round, or potentially able to, someday.
Do you still ride your R65 during the very wet season, or is it time to get out a boat ?    How "wet" is the wet season there ?
The closest thing I have experienced to your climate is riding in Hawaii, but even then it was during a fairly dry September.

Very wet is like riding underwater! Wet is like riding through a  heavy shower! BUT it is always warm and the secret is to wear cotton 'cos it dries out in about 10 minutes. The rainstorms never last for more than an hour. Leather always gets moldy and rots. The biggest hazard is the garbage that washes into roadside drains and blocks them - then the roads flood. A major advantage is that the donor bikers are normally sheltering under banana trees. I have also seen people here riding one handed in the rain - the other hand is holding an umbrella!. Plastic carrier bags are often used in place of helmets. As the wet season approaches, I will do my best to get some photographs, just to prove I'm not "Harleying".
