What's in YOUR toolkit?

When you get the tool roll, make sure what size you want.  I got one for Christmas one year and it was too big to fit in the tool box under the seat.    

Yeah, years ago I bought the Sport Tool Roll (Kathy's) with the "bigger is better" mentality.
It has never made it on the bike.  Much too big.  Anybody want to buy it?

A Pozidrive No2 screwdriver is very valuable if you need to remove a carb top. The cross head driver in the BM toolkit is not the correct fit for these carb screws which can be VERY resistant to removal. Wrecking the screwheads could make a minor problem into that interesting challenge of drilling out steel screws from an alloy casting. Tricky when you're in the field. Oh what fun  
I once had a diaphram tear during a European tour, although it was a big boxer not R65. Once the carb top was off the diaphragm was fixed with SuperGlue. Just goes to show.
So don't forget to add a tube of SuperGlue to the toolkit tas well.

I like the "shorty" wrenches. That's what's going into my roll. Where do you stow the extra foot and sandal?     Can you direct me to the "Kathy's" tool roll vendor? Thanks.

BTW... with a tool stash like that, you could easily become a touring Gypsy BMW mechanic.

Currently I'm waiting on my luggage keys from Bob's along with some new handlebar grips. James the parts guy at Bob's is good to deal with on the phone and is a bit of a comic too.
I'll do a little show & tell on installing grips when they get here and a shot of my meager tool kit.

I also bought the small tool kit from Bob's & like it.

One additional item that I consider very important is the little brass right-angle valve stem adapter that Bob's sells.  I have yet to find an inflater head that will fit easily inside the opening of my Snowflake wheels. The adapter fits nicely inside the sparkplug socket, so it takes up virtually no extra space in the tool roll.
