Uh... I ferget! Gawd, that was a fun day! I mean MAJOR FUN. The nice man in the background is my buddy Ken. He had came out from visiting family in ID to kick my a$$ and make me find the crossed wires keeping Blueberry on the ways instead of on the road...

We tore off to the Vashon Island ferry after that, carving up the Isle of Vashon TT route in the sun. Oh man. Super twisty carving on a sweet SWB. Oh oh oh. OOoooooOOOooOOOOOOOooooo. Yeah. Like that.  ;)

Of course now it's 37F, snow in the forecast this afternoon, and ice tonight. [blue cloud of bad words] *sigh*

I have to make it up to Vashon some day, for the vintage motorcycle ride.  My friend who is a spirited rider on his R75 toaster did it once.  It will have to be a two night trip, as I don't want to ride all that way up there then try to ride fast.  In fact, even if I had a way to haul the bike up there, the I5 traffic would have me too stressed out to do much.  I hate traffic.

TTFN,

Yah, it cost enough! It was the single best improvement to the bike, too. Rich's Custom Seats is local for me and really treats you right, and difference between before and after was worth TWICE the price, imnsho.

Really amazing how much more rider confidence you have when the bike fits perfectly, just like in bicycling.  :)

Just leaving my cat overnight stresses me out.  Maybe that is why I have such a hard time making it to rallys.

Me too! Right now the Blond Bomshell cat is slowly, ever so slowly, succumbing to a brain tumor or three. 3-4 pain shots/day, lactated ringers daily, oral steroid, and every molecule of love I've got to give make the idea of leaving town impossible. She's doing pretty well for an 18yo laptop, tho. I was ---><--- close to leaving Ken and Randy's rally mid-stream in October, however.

Worthless GD furball!  ;)

Thanks Joan, I'll pm you if I can make it.

Oh, your kitty.  I never know what to say, except be happy and thankful for the 18 years of love you've shared with her.  It's never enough, no matter how long they live, and you're never done with them.  But I guess it's better from their point of view than outliving you would be.  Kiss your kitty for me.

Joan, very sorry to hear that...  :(  We lost our oldest one (nicknamed "the ancient one" by Suraklyn) a couple of years ago just a fwe months shy of 19 years.  It's funny that a human can become so attached to a critter but after that long it is almost like a relative kicked-the-bucket.

Love for our animals keeps us going I am sure. Joan, I am sorry you have to go through this but as others have said better to have loved than not. I had 2 cats that died within a week of each other..one at 19 yrs. and the other at 20 yrs. weird eh?  I found that our cats get a lot snugglier after about 12 yrs. of age. A lot less scratches!!!

That twisty ride sure sounds tempting eh Ed?? Maybe you and I need to meet Joan on her home territory?!

Thanks everyone for the kitty wishes... I am on the sofa patting the Blond Bomer kitty as I type while she is hiding under her blanket. Thankfully she's always been a Snuggler and all the buprenex shots don't make her cranky. The dinner is eaten and the family is arguing over which pie is better, tho some didn't make it because of the sudden snowfall this afternoon. And the nog... oh my, it was QUITE good this time! My nose is numb!

You know I'd HAVE to throw an R65 bash if any of you came searching for a few of the 55 days of sun Seattle receives annually. Mmmm... bbq, salmon, homebrew, pie... OH! YES!

mmmm, party. Sorry Joan, I have no panniers like yours, though I would try to bring a bottle or two, probably of fruit wine.

mmmmm, pie.

So nobody will be mad if I showed up on my vintage sport bike?
