Lemans style race pics

The race started with riders lined up across track. Starting gun fired, riders running to bikes, push start & running mount.

This is one bike with pink I would trade my house for. Other known 11 are in museums. This is only ridden Britton. So I am told.

Nice pics !

Thanks for sharing - it is always so much fun to watch bike racing in person rather than on the tube.
I'm surprised that someone was racing a Britten - I've read about them in bike mags going back many, many years.
Too bad that John didn't get the funding to get through to a more mass production level- the bike design
still had some quirks, but he had some really great design ideas in that bike.  I know that I certainly wouldn't have the
cashola to spare for using one of these rare birds on the track..

The Britton did not race. Only did a few laps for show. Sorry I did not say it was on display & not in the race.

So if the Britton didn't race, that means the R65 finished in what, 5th place?

Not too shabby!  ;)
