Gellin' - Gonna Be & Odyssey installed
« on: August 29, 2007, 10:21:18 PM »
Odyssey battery installed. Wow! I thought my head light was suppose to be yellow. It is amazing how fast bike starts also. Instant cold start with the slightest throttle.
Dropping bike off at upholstery shop after work a 9/7/07. I may have already posted the seat cover details. If so I apologize for the repeat post. I am excited to get the new cover & a gel insert. It will be $185.00. Its $65 for the cover & $120.00 for the gel. If I remember right. I expected to pay much more.
The guy doing the work does some amazing cust work on cars, boats & bikes. Did a bike seat for a recent show that is gator leather on top.
The skin was sized to fit perfect from the gator's front shoulders to the proper spot on tail for proportion of seat. I am a animal lover/tree hugger/granola cruncher *& I have to admit it is beautifully done. I will get a pic to post if possible.

I didn't think you would be disappointed with an Odyssey battery, I believe they are the nails in the coffin for the standard lead-acid battery for motorcycles.

Well, looks like I know which battery I'm getting next time I need a battery.

I can't wait to see how your new "upholstery" comes out.  I'll be waiting for the pictures.  I can imagine the gator seat looked really great.  From one  " animal lover/tree hugger/granola cruncher" to another, too bad they have to kill an animal to do it.   :(

I've been running a gel battery for about three years and its been great, no topping up or worries about it dying at cold winter rally's unlike the old BMW lead acid jobbie.
