This is a ride this guy took in 1995 on his '80 R65.  He even rode 2-up.

Nice report, Melena,

I would give (nearly) everything to get the chance to ride on my own bike accross the States and Canada. I know a guy who did it with his Harley-Davidson.
But I suppose she shipping is so expensive, that it´s cheaper to buy a bike in the States and sell it after the tour.

Dirk, if you ever decide to come to the states to ride, you're more than welcome to take Britta out for a tour of the states!  (That is, if you would return the favor if I come over to Germany!)  ;)  I think Britta has been to a lot of the western US states when she was with her previous owner. (The owner's manual has an entry where she was given an oil change and a new rear tire in Missoula, Montana!)

Hi John,

that´s a good deal. :) Thank you very much.
I get the chance to ride on a BMW through North Carolina. That would be fantastic.  ::)
If I ever get accross the ocean, I will take you by your word, John. ;)

And if you come to good old Germany, you can take my R65 or the russian monster for some raids through the teutonic land. ;D
