Three days of riding in the Texas hill country WOO HOO! I'll be on the R1150R though as I'm riding with a bunch of Ducs and don't think the R65 can hang in the straights.

Have fun!   ;D We're heading to the Virgina mountains (again!) in the morning and hoping for some good weather this time!   8-)

Northern Indiana for me this weekend, to pay my respects on the Garth Eppley Memorial Ride.  Garth was a lover of K75S and life in general, and was involved in a air crash last year.  Apparently he was a music student at I.U.

This ride is the subject of several forums that I have just recently begun to explore.  MOA (paid my dues!), is one forum where it was mentioned.  (my local club board gave me the heads up, though)

Another is "Rounders" as in "we ride all year round", kind of folk.  I told em right up front that without my 3rd wheel, I'm not no rounder!

Even Garths' dad has a memorial forum called F.O.G. Riders (Friends Of Garth).

Funny thing is, though, I'm only an almost FOG, as he and I never did get together for that ride we emailed a couple of times about doing...

But the weather is supposed to be clear and in the 60's and 70's.  Sounds about perfect to me!

Sounds like a good weekend for you guys.  I think my half marathon tomorrow will be rained out, for me anyway.  I hate running in the rain.

It's interesting to expand the social links.  I've been doing quite a bit of that in the past couple of years, and mostly I like it more than I'm uncomfortable with it.

Finally, we have bike-friendly weather in New Hampshire this weekend !

It is practically going to be summer like (23C) which is quite a change from the past
several weeks were old man winter still was with us - snow, sleet, freezing rain and
an average of 0C temps !

Huzzah !!!

23C?   [smiley=huh.gif]
Let's see, now.....................###%%%***###%%%***.............. Ah yes.  73F.   ::)

Wow, that's nice weather after all the stuff that's been dumped on you the last week or so.  Great for all you guys getting some nice riding weather.

I'll most likely not be riding this weekend.  All kinds of reasons, though.  It's supposed to rain and I've found my front tire is worn way too much.  (Another topic in another section.)

Rats.  I have to work at school from 9-5 today (Saturday), so no riding for me (other than the 25 mile commute to and from the school).  :(  And it's supposed to be sunny with temps in the 70s, too!

At least I don't have to work on Sunday, but I promised my lovely wife Pattimarie that I would take a trip with her to the local flea market to look at... Uh.... Hmmm... well, I have no idea of what exactly.   I guess that there would be a chance of going out for a brief spin after we return home, but I also promised to assemble our new lawn mower that's been sitting in a large box in our living room for the past week!  ::)   Screwed, blued, and tattooed....  ;D

Alas, it's looking like the first major ride and official motorcycle "weekend" will be the BMWRA national rally in Asheville, June 8-10th.  Any of you folks planning on being there?  If so, we need to arrange to "meet and mingle"!  ;)

Put a thousand miles on my new heads riding from Atlanta to Jacksonville on the 16th to play golf and hang out on the beach and ride back on the 21st.  Lovely. ::)
