So as to not contribute to continued Thread Degradation here is the 'moved' seperate thread - declension of the noun "hootus".  :D (More than you ever wanted to know).

Singular:

Hootus   a hoot          Nominative (subject)
Hooti      of a hoot      Genitive (possessive)
Hooto     to a hoot      Dative (indirect object)
Hootum  hoot             Accusative (direct object)
Hooto     near a hoot  Locative (position)
Hoote     O hoot         Vocative (how to address a hoot)

Plural:

Hooti         Hoots           Nominative (to go to english I think the 'i' goes to 'ers'
Hootorum  Of  hoots      Genitive
Hootis       to/by hoots   Dat/Abl/Loc
Hootos      O Hoots        Vocative (how to address more than one) - a distint possiblility.

This is probably way above the heads of most BMW mechanics or mechanics wannabes since they are probably looking down at a mess of parts and specialized tools rather than up.  :o

Well, Bill, I don't guess one could get any more thorough than that.  We will now refer to you as the Master Hootologist... [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]

OK, I just checked out the thread where this "Hootus" deal apparently spawned.

Bill, you definitely have WAY too much free time on your hands!  ;D
