The only way to get that circuit operative again is replace everything. It’s all buggered!
I’ve ordered up the clutch switch and the neutral switch and washer and I’ll track down a new relay this week as well.
I did find traces of very fine swarf in the starter housing, so I’m lucky it hasn’t caused worse damage and the sooner I fix it the better! Thanks for your help.
