Happy New Year and New Exhaust question
« on: December 31, 2018, 01:31:17 PM »
Happy New Year to all around the world! I just obtained a "new" MAC replacement for my exhaust system on my 1983 r 65 LS.

From the dates on the newspaper used for packing it dates from 1989 but is brand new and unused. It is also black like the original. However it only has a front  cross pipe and no rear one like the original.

My question is how or if it will effect engine tuning, valves etc. Any information appreciated!  Stay safe on the roads and enjoy the New Year.

Best wishes to all !

BMW stated that the second crossover pipe improved I beleive midrange power .
Members here have installed aftermarket exhaust systems with the single crossover and noticed no difference in engine performance .
