1986  mono  how do you adjust these my manuel gives stripdown but not for adjusting the po had the bearings  replaced about 2years  4 000 miles ago is the adjustment done by removing the stem top nut and then turning the slotted ring and is this done with the rear shock c spanner any help would be great sorry if this sounds like basic stuff but i realy dont want to drop the complete front end unless i have to cheers

On the pre-85 units, it is a matter of loosening the top  nut (after removing the dashpanel, of course, and adjusting a large knurled adjuster beneath. It has been so long since I had my 88 mono that I cannot recall, but I am sure that someone here will chime in shortly.

thanks i saw a thread on the pre 86 with the knurled nut my 86 mono has a thick washer with a slot cut into it i think the procedure is the same but i realy did want it confirmed where are you bob cheers
