Delco 10SI Voltage regulator in a R65

After installing a Delco bridge Rectifier
http://www.bmwr65.org/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1461552273
I decided to try a voltage reg. from the same Alt
I first mounted them all together as they were in the Delco Alt
But the heat in the timing cover caused the voltage reg to cut way back to about 14 volts. so I had to separate them and put the reg in the original location under the tank. Now the voltage runs 14.5 to 14.7
I contacted Odyssey and they said it would be Ok to use with their battery.
The conversion was not straight forward the Delco is an "A" type circuit  and the Bosch is a "B" circuit
So the grounded brush has to be insulated from case  so the reg can control the ground.
The original wiring harness  is used but the reg connector housing is  removed and the connectors are covered with shrink tube.
The battery recovery from a stop light discharge is very rapid.
Besides having the reg I have also set up my headlights so I can shut them off and run on the LED floods for day time driving.
The LED's have about half the load of the standard headlight.
I see 14.5 Vols at 2000 RPM
