Any ideas to deal with rust pin holes in black chrome mufflers?

That's a tough one. The thin metal may have interior rust in a greater area than where it has broken through. Welding or brazing may fix it for awhile but repairing the black chrome, well, there's the rub. Same for the chrome-chrome muffs.  :(

I tried the, rub with wet aluminum foil method and it appears to work quite well. They recemended to wax after, is there wax that holds up to the heat of exhaust?
