Acewell Wiring - Need To Check Before I Connect

Has anybody fitted an Acewell to an '84 R65, and if so do you have a wiring diagram regarding connections from the round 8 pin rev counter plug to the Acewell loom so I can check if I'm right before frying anything else?

There was a BMW diagram/list on ADVrider (can't find it now) but it looked like it was for earlier bikes and I'd just like to be sure.

The connections I need to check are:

Rev Counter (Black?) to Acewell Yellow
Oil Light (Brown/Green?) to Acewell Grey
Neutral Light (Brown/Black?) to Acewell Purple
Switched Live (Green/Blue?) to Acewell Red
High Beam (White?) to Acewell Light Green
Earth (I'm pretty happy that this is brown) to Acewell Black
Unswitched Live (this can come from the spare terminal on the ignition switch?) to Acewell Brown
Charge Light. I have a separate bulb light for this which requires 2 connections (Blue and Green/Blue?)
I have no indicators so that's not an issue.

What's confusing me is that the wires on my plug are in a slightly different order to that shown on the wiring diagram.
The wire colours on terminals 3 & 4 are reversed on my plug, but I'm sure that it hasn't been messed with and the stock idiot lights were all correct and working.

Terminal 1 - both are white
Terminal 2 - both are grey/black
Terminal 3 - diagram says blue, mine is brown/black
Terminal 4 - diagram says brown/black, mine is blue
Terminal 5 - both are black
Terminal 6 - both are green/blue
Terminal 7 - both are brown/green
Terminal 8 - both are brown

Any help much appreciated. Thanks.

Can't tell you anything about an Acewell but all your wire colours and functions are correct according to my diagram including what you have for #3 and #4

I did the exact same thing this weekend and installed the Acewell 2856 on my 81 r65. I followed the labelling in the image below which shows the colouring, but mine was slightly different. The thread you need is this one: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=527749

Rev Counter (Black?) to Acewell Yellow
The yellow is the cable which you run around the one of the black HT coil wires.

Oil Light (Brown/Green?) to Acewell Grey
Same on mine

Neutral Light (Brown/Black?) to Acewell Purple
Same on mine

Switched Live (Green/Blue?) to Acewell Red
This was green on mine from the ignition

High Beam (White?) to Acewell Light Green
Same as mine

Earth (I'm pretty happy that this is brown) to Acewell Black
Same as mine

Unswitched Live (this can come from the spare terminal on the ignition switch?) to Acewell Brown
I used the red cable on the auxillary socket and then switched it to the red from the ignition

Charge Light. I have a separate bulb light for this which requires 2 connections (Blue and Green/Blue?)
This is the same on mine

I have the model without the gen light and a sidelight indicator which I hooked up to the grey/black.

All worked first time and then every time I tested it thereafter

1983 R65LS completely refurbished to my liking.
1985 R80 nearly stock rebuild (basically new bike).
1981 R65 (box of bits).

All fitted and working fine now.
Really good piece of kit.
Really good service from UK Importer.

My old clocks were all over the place and the housing was broken and creaky. If you're not too bothered about originality this is light years ahead.
