In looking closer what I actually have on my Bings is a double lever for the choke. The cable has a soldered on barrel, similar to the end of the clutch cable, that sits in a hole on both levers with the cable coming out in between. Not sure if a clamping bolt would work with the two sided lever.
I think it's time to raid the parts bins at my local bicycle shop and see what I can find.

Â The one's Hucky's sells are open on one side, allowing the wire to come out - hence the epoxy. Â I'm not sure how they are supposed to work OEM style.
(My '79 had the control on the side of the airbox.)
