Changing hand grips ...

How do you do this ? cut them off ? Glue them on ?..........what kind of glue???

I'm still looking for high bars, to replace my lows. If anybody know of good cond. pair. Thanks

They are usually glued on, well, at least the right hand throttle side is. When older the glue loses some of its adhesiveness, so they can generally be massaged off, though they may need to be cut. Putting on is a little easier, make sure the metal parts are clean and dry then spray the bars and inside grips with hairspray and quickly slide on. The spray will dry and grip really well.
BTW, high bars will also require using longer cables and brake hose.......considered that?

Take a long thin screwdriver and work it between the grips and handlebar or throttle sleeve. Spray some WD40 into the space occupied by the screwdriver, then start twisting the grip. Twist some, spray some, twist some, spray some, eventually the grip will come off without tearing it up. I usually clean off the handlebar and throttle sleeve then just slide the new grips on. If the fit is loose, use some contact cement or other type of glue. I change bars on almost every bike I get and this is my time proven method......Dew.

Yes, I've been thinking about what else like cables and wires would reach or not. Im planning on doing brake hoses anyway, I was hoping to get lucky on the cables or wires though......... :-/

I tend to cut the old ones free, and after a little swearing use a wee bit of contact adhesive to hold the new ones in place.
