loosing stuff?

ok i know these bikes of ours have some vibs but enough to loosen up nuts and bolts?

last week as i was riding into work my bike just died, after a quick look over i found the positive battery cable off. took care of that. today it didnt start like it should have, a quick look over and the negative battery cable loose?? and while as taking care of that i found my right swing arm bolt lock nut missing!! holy crap!!

so what, do i need to become good friends with lock tight? and where can i get another of those lock nuts??? my local dealer stealer??

I've only lost 1 bolt on my R65, in the 26.5 years that I have owned it, and that was 3 months after I bought it. Either the fasteners are not being tightened enough, or you have some unusual vibrations with your particular bike.

I don't believe I've ever had anything vibrate off that I hadn't forgotten to properly tighten...

Good grief.  So far nothing has fallen off my R65, though I rarely ride at over 6,000 rpms.  But it's smooth there....  It's been about 30,000 miles for reference.

My Triumph on the other hand, well never mind.  I should buy stock in LocTite.
