Uh, looks like the dashpad for an R65LS with a digital clock, but then again...

I have never seen one like it before. I picked up the whole dash on the bay. What wires do I need for it to work?

It was an option available for the LS version .

I can't find it on a wiring diagram, but I would say you need an unswitched 12VDC power wire, one that has power to it all the time, regardless of the key position to operate the clock .

One 12VDC switched power, only has power when the key is in the 'ON' position, maybe for internal lighting .

Then a ground wire to complete the circuits .

Looks like the typical BMW clock.  The small buttons below the display are for setting hour and minute.  What Bob says about wiring it in.  And at that, no guarantee it will work.

The black cowling really won't be much use to you unless you have a R65LS nose cone to mount it with.

The digital clock is something I have only read of. They were unavailable from very early on in LS history (and probably unaffordable prior to that).

I've got the nose cone to go with it. :)

Monte, I thought your Vapor draws a little power when the bike is off, too.  If not, those little coin batteries really last a long time.

No. There's a small wafer battery in the Vapor unit that keeps the clock doing its thing. I can spin the front wheel and the backlighting of the unit will come on but that, too, is from the internal battery. No draw frm the bike's battery until the pistons start pumping.
