If he no longer has it - I believe that he bought his from S Meyer in Germany - here is a link to their webpages - scroll most of the way to the bottom and you'll find the R65 and rear rack seat sets.

He does but he is only selling it with the frame. As much as I would love to have the subframe I just want the seat.

Hey I'm looking for options for a solo seat for my 79 R65. Thanks!

I have been toying with the idea to change the look for a while, and as I have a /7 full seat fitted, I figured a /7 solo would probably work.

So I decide to try the Motobins /7 solo seat. It fits no problem!

Top man! I thought I'd have to fit a Harley type sprung solo seat - that looks much more comfy  [smiley=thumbsup.gif] Thanks!

One thing I noticed since. if you are considering the Motobins seat(s):

They have two variants of the /7 solo seat. I missed this at time of ordering (because the 2nd one is so far down the page!)

P/N 91921B ( the one I ordered)

AND P/N 91921A

I probably would have gone with the 2nd one if I had seen it.

Any reason for that Mike? As far as I can see the only difference is the stitching pattern and maybe a slightly squarer seat? Must admit I prefer the one you've bought !  :)

I guess, I thought I would have slightly preferred the squarer seat, (though not the stitching pattern). But maybe you are right, either way I'm not motivated enough to consider asking to exchange it, I'm happy with the new look.

I like the look of the Repros from S. Meyer, myself:

Easily mounted to a '81-'84 R65.
